Sports & Activities

Tai Chi for all ages.

  • Tai ChiSundays 9 – 10am.
  • In summertime, warm & dry weather, meet by the picnic table in the centre of the Common.
  • In winter, wet weather, meet in Gascoyne Community Hall –junction of Gascoyne Road and Victoria Park Road.
  • Tutor is Mal Reading, with help from Sangeeta Agawal.
  • These sessions are now self funding, with support when necessary from WSCUG funds; participants are asked to contribute £4.00 or more per session.

Fitness Equipment on the CommonThe Fitness Trail

  • Fitness trail consists of 4 groups of equipment around the Common, for use by people of all ages who wish to exercise and stretch themselves.

Other Users

  • The Victoria Park Harriers use the Common for evening training during the winter months when the park closes early.
  • Cardinal Pole School uses the Common weekly for football and other school sports.
